My Story
Some of the most meaningful moments in learning begin with a simple question, an exciting discovery, or a story that captures a child's imagination.
As both an educator and writer, I've had the joy of watching children discover new interests, build confidence, and realize they're capable of far more than they imagined. Those moments inspire every story I write.
I believe books should do more than entertain—they should encourage children to observe the world around them, think creatively, ask thoughtful questions, and develop a love of learning that lasts well beyond the final page.
Through River Rabbits Publishing, I hope to create stories that invite families to learn, laugh, explore, and make wonderful memories together.
Children learn best when they feel encouraged to explore
Whether they're searching for treasures in the backyard, asking questions about the natural world, or imagining exciting adventures, every experience becomes an opportunity to grow. My hope is that each River Rabbits book creates those opportunities by blending engaging stories with meaningful learning in a way that feels natural, joyful, and fun. If a child finishes one of our books feeling inspired to create something, head outside, ask another question, or curl up with another book, then we've accomplished exactly what we set out to do.
Beyond the Books
Education has always been about more than facts and lessons. It's about helping children discover confidence, develop curiosity, and find joy in learning. That philosophy shapes every project I work on, from writing stories to developing educational activities and classroom resources that encourage exploration both at home and in school. Every book is an invitation to discover something new together.
What Inspires Me
I'm inspired by everyday moments of discovery:
A child asking "Why?"
Exploring nature together.
Creative play and imagination.
Family adventures and shared experiences.
Books that stay with us long after we've finished reading.
Watching curiosity grow into confidence.
Those simple moments often become the beginning of lifelong learning.
